P-04-482 Public noticeboards across Wales notifying the public of who all their political representatives are
Petition wording:
We call on the National Assembly for Wales to urge the Welsh
Government to develop a national system of placing large public
notice boards (of 5x4 foot or so as an example) across all the
local authorities and electoral wards of Wales, clearly notifying
everyone who their local Councillor/s and AM’s are, together
with clear information on how, where and when all of these can all
be contacted and met and with regular and updated information on
when and where all local council meetings are held.
There is a real need for people to be clearly notified of who their
political representatives are at all levels, with clear well laid
out informative notice boards centrally placed in all the local
authorities and electoral wards of Wales. Consideration could also
be given for surgery hours and locations, and possibly council
meetings, to be standardised around Wales (e.g. 1-3pm of every
first Saturday of the month at local community centres all across
Wales as a generic example) so that people can interact and connect
with their representatives more effectively. This will all
encourage the citizens of Wales to have better involvement in the
democracy of their country and communities
